If you have ever done business with a trucking company in Minnesota, you know that there is a wide range of different factors in our day-to-day business. Logistics, warehousing, licensing, maintenance and safety are just several of the things we have to keep in mind on a daily basis, and it is crucial for our business and our customers that we operate smoothly, like a well-oiled machine.

Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up in the details, in fact, that even the most diligent trucking company can forget to look at the big picture. This is where belonging to a few prominent and respected trucking associations comes in handy. K-Way Express, Inc. is proud to belong to both the Transportation Intermediaries Association and the Minnesota Trucking Association. We find that our affiliation with these groups allows us to stay up to date with best practices, gives us access to a wide network and ultimately helps us to better serve our customers.

If this has piqued your curiosity, read on to learn more about two excellent organizations that this trucking company in Minnesota is proud to belong to.

Transportation Intermediaries Association

The Transportation Intermediaries Association, also known as TIA, is the largest organization of third-party logistics professionals in the country. According to its website, TIA exists to provide “resources, education, information, advocacy and connections to establish, maintain and expand ethical, profitable and growing businesses in service to their customers.”

To put things a little more simply, TIA helps logistics companies succeed by promoting sound business practices, which in turn helps consumers as well.

TIA also has a strict code of ethics, which emphasizes honesty, fairness, integrity and professionalism throughout the logistics industry. K-Way Express, Inc. is proud to be part of an organization that is always pushing to make our industry better.

Minnesota Trucking Association

According to the Minnesota Trucking Association’s website, the organization’s main goals are to “influence policy, support education and advance the success of Minnesota’s trucking industry.” Originally founded in 1932, the MTA also enhances the trucking and logistics community here in Minnesota by hosting events like the MTA Spring Golf Tournament.

If you were to ask us why we are a proud member of the MTA, our response would be simple: we appreciate being a part of the larger state trucking community, because it gives us a chance to have our voices heard and to connect with other leaders in our industry.

Proud members

Membership with the TIA or MTA does not necessarily guarantee a quality logistics company, but it does signify that a company takes itself seriously and stays up to date on all the latest policy decisions and safety guidelines for our industry. That is certainly a good sign.

If you are looking for a new trucking company in Minnesota, and would prefer a business that is TIA and MTA affiliated, then we invite you to consider trusting the team at K-Way Express, Inc. We have been serving businesses in Minnesota and beyond since 1949, and we cannot wait to hear from you.
